The Coop Chamber on February 3, 2026, held a high-level dialogue with the Office of Senator Kiko Pangilinan, represented by Chief of Staff Atty. Renan Dalisay and legislative staff members John Leyer, Dominic Menguito, and Alex Fajardo.
Our goal was clear: to turn cooperative priorities into national policy.
This was more than a consultation; it was a strategic step toward embedding the needs of our farmers, fisherfolk, transport workers, and the informal sector into the Executive and Legislative Agenda.
Key Outcomes:
- A Unified Front: The Senator’s office affirmed a commitment to championing cooperative-driven initiatives.
- Institutionalizing Support: We explored concrete mechanisms to ensure cooperative partnerships become law, ensuring long-term impact beyond temporary programs.
- Empowering the Backbone: The conversation centered on the people who feed and move our nation. When they are supported, the economy becomes resilient.
The dialogue was strengthened by the active voices of cooperative leaders who stood together to advance the agenda:
• Sec. Gen. Edwin A. Bustillos
• NCR Reg. Gov. Roger Manlangit (Barangka Credit Cooperative)
• NCR Vice Gov. Olivia Ferrer (San Dionisio Credit Coop)
• Council Leader. Allan Caddarao (Bagong Bansa ng Mamamayan Credit Coop)
• Council Leader Tristan Bringas (Development Academy of the Philippines PASIG Coop)
• Council Leader Jose M. Aguilar (Industrial Valley Monte Vista Cinco Hermanos Olandes Cooperative)
• GM Mark Anthony Quiñion (NOVADECI Transport Coop)
• Michael Ibañez (RAAO for Mindanao)
• Yolanda Pinzon (NCR and CALABARZON Coordinator)
Cooperatives are more than just businesses. We are instruments of social justice, solidarity, and empowerment. Together, we rise.
Our Coop, Our Voice!
