Raboy, Trustee Lily Silubrico, NCR Governor Roger Manlangit, CALABARZON Vice Governor Art Arada, CLIFSA CEO Henry Lopez, CUB Chairperson Dr. Lito Bagui, together with NCR and CALABARZON Coop Leaders and the Coop Chamber Secretariat, met with the Office of Senator Lito Lapid through Chief Legislative Officer Atty. Abel Maglanque, Jr. Discussions centered on the supplemental position paper of Coop Chamber, CLIMBS, NAFECOOP, and other member cooperatives regarding Senate Bill 1431, covering democratic member control, CETF, tax exemption, and more.
– Atty. Maglanque affirmed many Coop Chamber positions and noted that Senator Lapid’s office will review key revisions in the proposed code.
– He requested a position paper from Coop Chamber and NOVADECI Transport Cooperative on the Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP), promising a Senate resolution to address implementation challenges.
– The Office encouraged continued collaboration, inviting the Coop Chamber to raise issues with government agencies and reaffirming support for cooperative advancement.
– The Senator’s office also received the Coop Chamber’s executive and legislative agenda.
