Pursuant to Republic Act No. 11502, this month-long celebration serves as a pivotal occasion to champion the enduring principles of the cooperative movement and to recognize its vital role in advancing economic development, social justice, and inclusive growth nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperatives as Engines of Empowerment and Modernization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperatives stand as powerful instruments for poverty alleviation, economic participation, and the empowerment of ordinary Filipinos. What fundamentally distinguishes a cooperative from conventional, profit-driven enterprises is its soul: a cooperative is owned, governed, and operated primarily to serve the common economic, social, and cultural aspirations of its members.
