{"id":3657,"date":"2026-01-23T04:47:49","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T04:47:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coopchamberph.org\/?p=3657"},"modified":"2026-01-23T04:47:49","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T04:47:49","slug":"coop-chamber-builds-strategic-alliance-with-plcedo-and-cub-to-deepen-collaboration-on-cooperative-advancement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/coopchamberph.org\/?p=3657","title":{"rendered":"Coop Chamber Builds Strategic Alliance with PLCEDO and CUB to Deepen Collaboration on Cooperative Advancement."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br><strong>BATANGAS CITY- <\/strong>The Coop Chamber, the Cooperative Union of Batangas (CUB), and the Batangas Provincial Livelihood, Enterprise and Cooperative Development Office (PLCEDO) held a meeting yesterday, <strong>January 22, 2026<\/strong>, at the CUB office to discuss possible collaboration and partnership in promoting and advancing the cooperative agenda and advocacy at both the local and national levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion focused on the promotion of education, training, and information, as well as the <strong>accreditation issue<\/strong>, which stakeholders noted is not enabling enough given the apparent contradictions between relevant policy instruments of the CDA and the LGU. The Coop Chamber emphasized that the LCDO\u2019s mandate to conduct trainings and seminars is inherent to the office\u2019s functions, and that the accreditation issue should be addressed accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"461\" src=\"https:\/\/coopchamberph.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/614648849_898802939180345_3987874536856990181_n-1024x461.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3658\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the regional agenda\u2014particularly in Batangas Province\u2014was highlighted as a potential source of best practices in partnership-building, as the relationship between cooperatives and the LGU is strong and harmonious, especially in implementing programs, activities, and projects that promote cooperative enterprises in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the PLCEDO and CUB will assist the Coop Chamber in strenghtening the Coop Chamber in the province. In this context, the Coop Chamber proposed a partnership between the PLCEDO and the CUB. This was warmly welcomed by the parties, subject to further discussions on specific areas of collaboration and complementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Coop Chamber will submit a draft document related to this proposed partnership.
